BIOGRAPHY OF LOUIS VENTRE,
JR.
Patent Attorney. Louis Ventre, Jr.
is a practicing Registered
Patent Attorney, first admitted to practice before the United States
Patent and Trademark Office in the year 2000. He offers intellectual
property services to the public and prepares and prosecutes patent
applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Attorney at Law. He is an Attorney at Law
admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States,
The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, The United
States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, several federal district
courts, and before courts of Virginia, the District of Columbia and the
State of New Jersey. Virginia

In 1978, he earned a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University,
School of Law, and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in that year. In the
interim, he expanded his admission to the Bars of Virginia and the
District of Columbia and has practiced law ever since. His undergraduate
degree is a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Magna Cum
Laude, from Newark College of Engineering in New Jersey.
Mechanical Engineering. In the 1970s, he
worked as an engineer for Public Service Electric and Gas Company,
Inc.
Work As Attorney and Business Experience.
In the 1980s, he practiced law and worked as counsel to the United States
House of Representatives, Committee on Science and Technology. In the
1990s, he practiced law while serving as a private attorney, entrepreneur
and consultant to energy and environmental businesses. He served as Patent
Attorney, intellectual property expert, executive and General Counsel to a
half dozen small businesses. In addition to his private practice, he
currently serves as General Counsel and executive to two small businesses
headquartered in Northern Virginia: Radioactive Isolation
Consortium, LLC, a waste vitrification research and development
company, and HCE, LLC, an energy company promoting
development of inventions in the fields of energy and the environment.
Patent Attorney Services. Services
provided include preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark
applications, provision of legal opinions and documents on trademarks,
copyrights, trade secrets, technology transfer agreements with the
government, licensing, non-circumvention agreements, and
confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements. He also welcomes new challenges
where a combination of engineering background and legal skill combine in
all areas of intellectual property practice.
